This is a custom made Starfish style rudder blade with feathered edges for improved hydrodynamic flow. To prevent splitting on impact, I glue in 1/4″ dowel pins on the leading edge.
Rudder fits Starfish and several other similar sailboats. It measures 8″ x 24″ x 3/4″ and is made of “edge-locked” cypress for strength and stability.
Blade is finished with 3 coats of Spar Varnish. Other finishes available on request.

The Board fits the Sunfish and may also fit other similar sailboats. The Daggerboard measures 9.5″ x 45 .5″ x 3/4″ and is made of “edge-locked” Cypress for strength and stability.
This board will not warp as many do. Its blade is finished with 3 coats of Spar Varnish. Older style sunfish daggerboard also available at same price.

This is a nice mahogany rudder with tiller and tiller extension. It is a factory piece that was completely rebuilt and reinforced with epoxy to withstand many more years of service. It’s a shame that I don’t have a before picture to put with this.
