This is a custom made Starfish style rudder blade with feathered edges for improved hydrodynamic flow. To prevent splitting on impact, I glue in 1/4″ dowel pins on the leading edge.

Rudder fits Starfish and several other similar sailboats. It measures 8″ x 24″ x 3/4″ and is made of “edge-locked” cypress for strength and stability.  Also available in mahogany.

Blade is finished with 3 coats of Spar Varnish. Other finishes available on request.
